Head of Sports, Business Development

Vizrt has a clear five-year growth strategy in the exciting and changing media landscape. A vital part of that strategy is to continue to build the sports business in the Americas. You will be based in the US and responsible for the sports business development in the region (North and Latin America), directly reporting to the President, Vizrt Americas and the Global VP Sports. Working closely with our local sales force, you will be consulting and selling to our sports clients in AMERICAS, including Vizrt's market-leading products Viz Libero, Viz Arena, Viz Trio and Viz Virtual Studio. 

What you’ll do

  • Lead the business unit sports with P&L responsibility
  • Responsible for business planning and development of the unit
  • Develop a value proposition for Sports, growing this segment dramatically
  • Develop, drive and monitor marketing and sales activities
  • Represent Sports in the Americas to develop Vizrt Group offering within Sports
  • Create and execute business plan of unit
  • Perform Customer meetings, presentations and demos
  • Drive customer satisfaction programs
  • Define clear value proposition and presentations
  • Forecasting of order and revenue
  • Manage people within unit and take care of related HR related topics within unit
  • Present Vizrt at major events

What you bring to the table 

  • A natural interest in sports, consuming on all available channels, with focus on major sports leagues
  • 4 plus years proven success in business development
  • A background in sports broadcasting, e.g. worked as a sports producer at a sports rights holder
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Multiple years of Sales and Marketing management & strategy experience
  • Business leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit with a hands-on approach
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the region as well on short notice.  You will travel throughout the AMERICAS to demonstrate our products and teach our AMERICAS team and customers how to best use our products
