System Engineer - Media Asset Management

Vizrt is seeking a Customer Advocacy base in Thailand, Nonthaburi  office location.


The Nature of Vizrt MAM Projects
The mission of a typical Vizrt MAM project is to perform an initial or incremental system implementation of a media asset management system (MAM). The customer usually relies on Vizrt MAM products to fundamentally change the workflows and methods at the very core of their business. It is Vizrt’s mission to help our customers to achieve their business objectives through professional delivery of Vizrt software and services.

The Project Team
A typical project team consists of a Project Manager (PM), a Solution Architect (SA) and a System Engineer (SE). The SA is responsible for the technical solutions that are provided to the customer to fulfill contractual requirements. The SE tasks includes installation, configuration, test and problem resolution during the project. In some projects the Project Team tasks also include customization development.
Additional resources may be tied to the project during high activity periods.
System Engineer role

The overall responsibility of a system engineer at Vizrt is to as part of a project team or individually, deliver high quality systems to our customers, and always keep the best interest of Vizrt in mind. The System Engineer reports to his manager and/or the Project Manager who assign tasks to be done. The SE works independently and takes full responsibility of the assigned tasks, that they are done on time and with high quality. Typical tasks are installation, configuration, documentation and bug fixing but can be any other task that will ensure a successful delivery.

General Requirements

As a System Engineer you are expected, but not limited to:


Constantly strive to improve the day to day operations and processes, for example by:

  •  Providing feedback (positive and negative) to colleagues you work with.
  •  Making sure that project related activities, code, and configurations are properly      documented.
  •  Submitting high quality bug reports to R&D, according to R&D’s templates and      instructions.
  •  Improving the quality of the product, as well as suggesting improvements.

In a professional manner interact with your colleagues and our customers, for example by:

  •  Being responsive to questions, phone calls, emails etc.
  •  Mentoring colleagues junior to you

Travel to participate in on site activities.

Always take responsibility for the success of the projects, for example by:

  • Understanding Vizrt’s project model.
  • Working independently and keeping promises.
  • Planning and estimating the time needed for you to complete various tasks, according to your own skill level and experience.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot as well as help launch systems into production in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Taking responsibility and initiative to constantly learn more about the broadcast industry, broadcast equipment and Viz One etc.

Participate in team activities.

Participate in support if needed

Participate in the TechLead program

As Tech Lead, be updated in technology area, keep relevant documentation in technology area updated and accessible, answer questions from other employees and keep training material updated.

Keep competence matrix updated and correct.

Keep an eye open for possible sales opportunities with our customers, and suggest that we can help to solve their problems when appropriate.

Prepare time reports and approve in time weekly and at month end.
